Red Cabbage Rice Paper Dumplings

These rice paper dumplings are crispy on the outside and filled with delicious veggies or your favorite stuffing inside. They’re easy to make gluten-free and perfect for a quick snack or light meal. The best part? No dough-making needed just soak, stuff, fold and cook. Each bite is a mix of crunch and soft flavorful filling that will make you want more!

They’re so good, you won’t want to share

I simply call it a “no-share dumpling” because once you take a bite, you’ll keep craving more until they’re all gone! These dumplings are so filling that you can enjoy them as a full meal either for lunch or dinner. While cooking I noticed that after folding the dumplings tend to stick together because of the rice starch so it’s best to place them separately. Also while roasting make sure they don’t touch each other to avoid sticking. Other than that the recipe is very easy to make and turns out amazing!

Rice Paper Dumpling

Ingredients

  • 2-3 cup shredded Red Cabbage
  • 1 medium size shredded Carrot
  • 1/2 sliced Onion
  • 1 tbsn crushed ginger garlic
  • 1/2 cup chopped Green Onion
  • 1 tspn veg bouillon powder
  • chopped coriander leaves
  • salt and paper

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a pan once hot add chopped garlic and roast until golden colour now add cabbage, carrot and sliced onion, Cook for 1–2 minutes until they start to soften.
  • Add chopped green onion, veg bouillon powder, coriander leaves, salt and pepper, Mix well and turn off the heat.
  • Fill a big plate with water, Soak one rice paper sheet in the water for a few seconds then take it out and place it on a flat surface.
  • Put a spoonful of the cabbage mixture in the centre of the rice paper. Fold and wrap it like a dumpling, You can shape it as you like.
  • Heat oil in a pan once hot place the dumplings in the pan and roast them on both sides until golden brown.
  • Be careful while roasting because these Rice papers sticks very easily so make sure the dumplings don’t touch each other in the pan.
  • Enjoy the crispy dumplings with any dip or spicy chutney of your choice.
