Sesame Cake

Finding a simple, healthy, and delicious breakfast can be tricky, especially if you want to skip flour, sugar, and eggs. But what if you could make a cake with just two ingredients? That’s right! This easy sesame cake is naturally sweet, slightly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and packed with health benefits. Sesame cake is a perfect choice for anyone looking for a quick, nutritious, and wholesome alternative to regular options.

Why This Easy Two-Ingredient Cake Works So Well

Sesame cake is simple to make and tastes amazing with a perfect texture. Bananas are naturally sweet and help hold things together, so you don’t need eggs, sugar, or flour. At the same time, sesame seeds add a special taste, crunch, and a mild rich flavor to the cake. When these two ingredients mix, they create the perfect balance – soft but firm, slightly sweet, and super delicious.

How to Achieve the Perfect Texture Every Time

To make sesame cake, achieving the right texture is key. Start by mashing ripe bananas until smooth—this keeps the cake soft and binds the ingredients. Gradually add sesame seeds instead of all at once to balance the batter’s consistency. If it’s too wet, the cake may lose its shape; if too dry, it won’t cook properly. Adding sesame seeds slowly ensures a soft yet stable texture. For extra flavor, mix in a spoonful of vanilla—it enhances both the aroma and taste.

How to Shape and Bake Your Recipe Perfectly

This recipe is great because it’s easily adaptable. The batter holds its shape, allowing you to make a round cake, small muffins, or any design you like. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25 minutes.

As it bakes, the exterior turns golden and slightly crispy, while the inside remains soft and moist. Unlike traditional cakes with added sugar, this one gets its natural sweetness from bananas, making it a great option for those who prefer less sugar.

A Delicious and Healthy Snack

This cake is special because it’s both delicious and nutritious. Bananas are rich in fiber, potassium, and natural sugars, providing energy without a crash. Sesame seeds add healthy fats, protein, calcium, and iron, supporting overall health and strength. Enjoy a tasty treat while nourishing your body with essential nutrients!

gluten-free, dairy-free or vegetarian

This cake requires just two ingredients, making it perfect for busy mornings, a quick breakfast, or a simple sweet snack. It contains no refined sugar or processed flour, making it a great choice for gluten-free, dairy-free, or vegetarian diets. Plus, it’s super easy to make—perfect for beginners!

What You Need to Know

Who knew that simple ingredients like bananas and sesame seeds could make such a delicious and healthy breakfast? This flourless, egg-free, and sugar-free cake proves that eating healthy can be easy.

If you need a quick meal or want to try something new, give this recipe a try. Enjoy a tasty breakfast cake that’s sweet, crunchy, soft, and good for your health!

I love this recipe. Low in carbohydrates. I adsed ½ teaspoon cinnamon, ¼ teaspoon of salt and about 3 teaspoons of agave nectar. I ended up adding a tiny bit of plain flour 1 tablespoon as it got too liquidy. But it tasted great!! I would make it again. Next time, I might grind about half of the sesame seeds and use less banana.
