My little one enjoys vegetables and greens but too many different items on a plate can confuse her. That’s why I love roti you can mix in any veggie puree even a blend of different vegetables and it still works perfectly. Carrot adds natural sweetness, softness and a lovely. Orange colour that makes the roti eye catching, whether you serve it to your family or friends they’ll love it. It’s healthy, tasty and something everyone will want to try at least once.

Ingredients

  • 2-3 medium size carrot
  • 1 cup wheat flour
  • 1 tspn roasted cumin powder
  • 1 inch ginger
  • 1 tbsn olive oil
  • 1/4 tspn salt
  • water

Instructions
 

  • In a blende add carrot, ginger and little water. Blend it well until it becomes smooth like a puree.
  • Now pour the carrot mixture into a bowl. Add cumin powder and salt mix well.
  • Now add wheat flour, knead it well to make a smooth and soft dough.
  • Add a little oil and knead again until smooth.
  • Divide the dough into small, equal-sized balls.
  • On a lightly floured surface roll each ball into a thin, round shape with a rolling pin.
  • Heat a flat pan (Tawa) and place the rolled roti on it. Cook one side until bubbles form then flip it, Now cook the other side and press gently with a cloth or spatula. Optionally you can puff it directly over a flame for a few seconds.
  • Once lightly browned and cooked, remove from heat and serve hot with your favorite curry or just as a wrap.

  • Apply butter or ghee on top of Roti, to keep it soft for long time.
  • Enjoy it with any curry of your choice, plain yogurt or simply as it, It will be delicious either way.
