This beetroot roti is a fun and easy way to add some color to your meal! Soft, tasty, and packed with goodness — perfect for any day when you want something different.

Ingredients

  • 1 1 Beetroot

  • 1 cup 120 g whole wheat flour

  • 1/2 tspn 1/2 tspn olive oil

  • 1/2 cup 115 ml water as needed

Directions

  • Peel and chop the beetroot, Put it in a blender add water and blend it well into a smooth puree.peel beetrootchop beetrootblend it
  • After blending strain the beetroot puree using a sieve to remove any thick bits and get smooth juice.beet juice
  • In a bowl take whole wheat flour. Slowly add beetroot juice and mix it while kneading to form a soft dough.flour and juice
  • Add olive oil and knead again until smooth.add oilfinal dough
  • Divide the dough into small, equal-sized balls.divide doughround balls
  • On a lightly floured surface roll each ball into a thin, round shape with a rolling pin.roll roti
  • Heat a flat pan (tawa) and place the rolled roti on it. Cook one side until bubbles form then flip it, Now cook the other side and press gently with a cloth or spatula. Optionally you can puff it directly over a flame for a few seconds.roti on tawapress with cloths
  • Optionally, Apply butter on top. Butter will keep roti soft for long time.remove from heat
