Simple & Delicious Recipe

Crunchy chickpeas with the flavor of a cinnamon roll are a snack you’ll love to keep around. Made with just a handful of ingredients like maple syrup, sugar, cinnamon powder and a little oil, this recipe proves that simple is often the most delicious.

Crunchy Cinnamon Chickpeas – Yummy Snacks

The natural sweetness and warm spice coating make every bite feel like a guilt-free treat. Unlike store bought versions when you make them at home, you know they’re fresh, wholesome and free from extras you don’t need. The best part is the texture, it’s crispy on the outside, light inside and packed with crunch.

I often let them cool overnight in the oven which makes them even crunchier by the morning. These cinnamon roll flavoured chickpeas are not just tasty but also healthier than most packaged snacks. Once you try them you’ll see why making them at home is so much better than buying from the market. Perfect for snacking, gifting or even sprinkling over breakfast bowls, they are an easy delight worth making again and again.

Ingredients

  • 2 Cup Cooked Chickpea
  • 1 tbsp Cinnamon Powder
  • 2 tbsp Maple Syrup
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Oil

Instructions

  • Soak chickpeas overnight then cook until tender but not mushy or you can also use canned chickpeas.
  • If using canned chickpeas, wash them properly and dry with a kitchen towel.
  • In a bowl add chickpeas and oil, mix well then place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 35-40 minutes or until crispy.
  • Now in a bowl add chickpeas, maple syrup, cinnamon powder and sugar then mix well.
  • Now place them again on the same tray lined with parchment paper and return to the oven but oven should not be too hot.
  • Leave the oven door slightly open and let the chickpeas cool completely for the cinnamon coating to set and crunchiness.
  • Enjoy😋

Notes

I usually make crispy chickpeas or crackers at night and let them cool in the oven overnight and by the next morning they always turn out extra crunchy.
