Why This Cheesy Chips Omelette Works So Well
Breakfast doesn’t have to be complicated. This easy recipe combines soft eggs with crunchy corn chips for a delicious mix of textures. It takes just 10 minutes to make—5 minutes to prepare and 5 minutes to cook—making it perfect for a quick and satisfying meal. The melted cheese adds a rich, creamy flavour to every bite. Serve it hot for a simple meal the whole family can enjoy.
The Secret Technique for Perfect Texture
You might think what will happen to chips? The secret lies in heat control and layering. You build the foundation directly in the pan over medium-low heat. You spread the chips first, then immediately add the cheese and toppings before the eggs even hit the pan. The cheese acts like a protective barrier that keeps the chips crunchy while the egg cooks perfectly on top.

Avoiding Common Fails
The most common mistake is cooking the omelette over high heat, which can burn the bottom while leaving the top undercooked. Keep the stove on medium-low heat and cover the pan with a lid. The trapped steam gently cooks the top, so there is no need to flip the omelette.
